Miss Lee Lim

Consultant Gynaecologist

Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery

Lee Lim graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney in 1997 and undertook Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist training in Oxford. She spent four years as a clinical fellow in Oxford Fertility Unit and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford with original research into the role of cytokine and in vitro embryo development. In 2008, Lee was appointed to the RCOG Subspecialty Trainee in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery in Oxford.

Lee has been NHS Fertility Service Lead Consultant at the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust since 2011, leading the fertility team of clinicians and nurse specialists, providing a secondary care fertility service. The services provided include preconception counselling, fertility investigation, ovulation induction, follicular tracking ultrasound scanning, appropriate referral for assisted conception and premature ovarian failure investigation, treatment and counselling.

Lee has over 20 years of extensive experience caring for all patients seeking fertility treatment. She believes in a personalised treatment approach that places the patient at the centre of the consultation and management.

Professor Christian Becker

Professor

Consultant Gynaecologist Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery

Christian Becker studied medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of California in San Francisco. He graduated in 1995 and undertook his training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Berlin where he qualified in 2003.
Professor Becker over 20 years’ experience in reproductive medicine and surgery. He worked for many years at the Oxford Fertility Unit and has extensive experience in fertility management. His clinical work and research focus on endometriosis and fertility preservation.

He is the Clinical Lead for the BSGE Endometriosis CaRe Centre in Oxford and Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation Service.

He is the current Chair of the ESHRE Guideline Development Group for Endometriosis. He is the local or national principal or co-investigator for multiple clinical and research studies into endometriosis, uterine fibroids and ovarian tissue cryopreservation.

Mr Prasanna Supramaniam

Consultant Gynaecologist

Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery

Pras is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford. A graduate from the University of Leicester and subspecialty training undertaken in Oxford including training with international experts in gynaecological ultrasound, minimal access surgery and in vitro fertilisation.

He is an advance laparoscopic surgeon undertaking surgery for complex gynaecological conditions including endometriosis, uterine fibroids and congenital anomalies. He is an accredited surgeon for deep endometriosis by the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.  Pras is actively involved in the Oxford Tissue Cryopreservation service having undertaken fertility preservation for young women and adults and now undertaking ovarian tissue transplantation in Oxford.

He is the Ultrasound Lead for the Gynaecology Diagnostic Unit at Oxford University Hospitals and undertakes complex early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound.

He has led research in fertility treatments using large datasets to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment options with Assisted Reproductive Treatments. He has presented both nationally and internationally, with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
